Aloha from the Valley Isle.
I have been growing orchids since the early eighties, starting on the mailand growing under lights and in windowsills. I also started to teach myself to hybridize and do my own lab work. Now I grow in one of the most perfect environments for orchids, Maui.
I am an artist by training and am still in awe everytime I see the beauty of each orchid bloom. I can't get enough of it so I divide my time working with orchids and painting as well as other family responsibliities.
I have served on mainland and island Orchid Society Boards, Show Commitee Chair, and built both personal displays and Orchid Society displays on the mainland and here in the islands. I am currently our local society photographer as well as learning to evaluate orchid flowers.
